Giardina 2024 garden fair. I visited it again this year. Although I don’t need anything, I’m tempted to go every year. This year it will take place from March 13 to 17, 2024 at Messe Z\u00fcrich. On an area of around 30,000 m\u00b2, 220 leading suppliers from the industry will be presenting their products and ideas for life in the garden, on the patio and on the balcony.     This year, the focus was on the natural garden. I was pleasantly surprised by shelf attachments and irrigation systems for tubs. Solar lights and ceramic cones with LED fairy lights conjure up beautiful lighting effects at night. So you can enjoy a relaxed dinner at sunset even in the smallest of spaces. You don’t need much space to set up a cozy patio or balcony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Kokedama<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Japanese trend will also be presented at Giardina. Kokedama is a fascinating Japanese garden art in which plants grow in a ball of earth covered in moss. The name Kokedama is made up of the Japanese words “Koke” (musgo) and “Dama” (ball).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What is Kokedama?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Kokedama is a type of Japanese bonsai in which plants are cultivated in a ball of soil and moss. The roots are visible and the moss grows around the ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The term “Kokedama” literally means “moss ball” in Japanese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Materials used:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Kokedamas are made from natural materials such as coconut fiber, peat moss and potting soil. This environmentally friendly and biodegradable alternative to plastic or resin hanging pots is particularly popular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Suitable plants for kokedamas include heartleaf philodendron, ivy and lemon fern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
