Edinburgh in winter. Edinburgh is a beautiful city with lots to see and do. Here are some of the best places we have visited in Edinburgh. If you don’t like overcrowded cities, so winter is the best season to travel.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Edinburgh Castle:<\/strong> Edinburgh Castle is the city’s most famous landmark and offers breathtaking views of the city. It is a must-see for every visitor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The Royal Mile:<\/strong> The Royal Mile is one of the most famous streets in Edinburgh with many stores, restaurants and historic buildings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Arthur’s Seat:<\/strong> Arthur’s Seat is an extinct volcano. From there you have a spectacular view of the city. It is a great place to walk and relax.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The National Museum of Scotland:<\/strong> The National Museum of Scotland is an interesting place. You can learn more about the history and culture of Scotland there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. St Giles’ Cathedral:<\/strong> St Giles’ Cathedral is one of the most famous churches in Edinburgh with impressive architecture and artwork.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The list is just a taste of the many places we have visited in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Edinburgh in winter – Festival Theatre<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The Festival Theatre in Edinburgh is famous for its opera and ballet performances. It is also used for major musical events and is visited by touring groups. It was originally opened as the Empire Palace Theatre and later renamed the Empire Theatre. The Festival Theatre was designed in 1994 as Scotland’s leading dance and opera house. The theater is renowned for its world-class productions in all art forms. We attended the Cinders ballet and were thrilled. So that the audience doesn’t get bored, the productions are performed in different ways. This allows the audience to see the ballet several times. I think it’s an interesting idea.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Edinburgh in winter, Leith<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Leith is a district of Edinburgh and is located on the south coast of the Firth of Forth. It is known for its history. The harbor area has many historic buildings and sights. One of the most famous sights in Leith is the Royal Yacht Britannia. The former ship of the British royal family. The tour is super interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Harry Potter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Are you a Harry Potter fan? So Edinburgh would be a wonderful place for you with many places connected to the story. I habe listed below some of the best places to walk in the footsteps of Harry Potter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. The Elephant House:<\/strong> the Elephant House is a caf\u00e9 where J.K. Rowling is said to have worked on the Harry Potter books. Unfortunately, the restaurant is being renovated. We were only able to photograph it from the outside.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Greyfriars Kirkyard:<\/strong> Greyfriars Kirkyard is another place that inspired J.K. Rowling. Many of the names that appear in the books come from gravestones in the cemetery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Victoria Street:<\/strong> Victoria Street in Edinburgh is a colorful street that served as the inspiration for Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter books.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. The Balmoral Hotel:<\/strong> The Balmoral Hotel is a luxurious hotel in Edinburgh where J.K. Rowling wrote the final chapter of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter:<\/strong> The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a themed area at Universal Orlando Resort dedicated to Harry Potter. Here you can immerse yourself in the Harry Potter world. Unfortunately, time was too short for us.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
