Annual fair in Basel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Basel Fair. The Basel Fair is an annual fair that has been held in Basel since 1471. It is the oldest and largest amusement fair in Switzerland and one of the biggest city center attractions in Europe. The Basel Autumn Fair is part of Basel’s living cultural heritage and attracts around one million people from Switzerland and abroad every year. The fair extends over seven fairgrounds, including Barf\u00fcsserplatz, Messeplatz, Petersplatz and the cathedral. The Basel Autumn Fair offers breathtaking rides, traditional fair stands and nostalgic attractions. This year’s fair will take place from October 28 to November 12, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Basel Autumn Fair is suitable for all age groups. The fair offers a variety of attractions. There are also many food stands with a wide range of dishes, including specialties such as raclette and fondue. Of course, sweets are also a must.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fairground and rides<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Ferris wheel in front of the cathedral offers a wonderful panoramic view of the city. The bridges and old town houses look even more impressive from a bird’s eye view. Of course, in addition to the stands, the many rides are also a meeting point for young and old. As the fair is spread across the city, you don’t stand on each other’s feet and the crowds are spread across the entire city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
