Narrow paths through the forest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hike Kandersteg – Lake Blausee. Today was another exceptional hiking day. We actually decided to tackle the leisurely hike from Kandersteg to lake Blausee. Shortly after the train station we were faced with 2 hiking trails to the lake. One way was indicated with 1.3 hours the other way with 2 hours. We finally decided to take the pre-alpine high trail from Kandersteg to Kiental and then descend to the lake Blausee.\u00a0Actually it took us 3 hours to get there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kandersteg – Lake Blausee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From the train station in Kandersteg we follow the route towards lake Blausee. There were two trails to reach the lake. The leisurely path of the Kander along the L\u00f6tschberg route, where boards provide background information on the L\u00f6tschberg north ramp, or via the pre-alpine high trail. The high trail leads through forests and alpine pastures. We decided for the second option. Between the trees we saw the vastness of the Kander valley. While following the narrow path, we even meet a mountain runner. Probably this is his daily jogging route. Respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly before the finish, we should have taken a steep descent to Mitholz-Blausee. The path was extremely narrow and confusing. Nothing for us. So we hiked back a bit and preferred the steep forest path. This hike is not suitable for families with small children, as the paths are narrow and steep. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the view over the valley. It was also super pleasant to hike in the shade of the trees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lake Blausee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After a little detour, we finally reached the lake Blausee. On the terrace of the restaurant we had a snack and afterwards we strolled along the lake. The lake Blausee is very popular with tourists. Many seats are placed around the lake, so we could watch the deep blue water from all angles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the beautiful far view into the Kander Valley, we would choose the more leisurely option on our next trip and learn more about the L\u00f6tschberg north ramp, thus extending our stay at the lake Blausee.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
