An exceptional inn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hiking trail Aescher-Wildkirchli. The mountain inn Aescher-Wildkirchli is known worldwide and impresses with its breathtaking location. Our adventurous hike can start. Let’s go. The cable car takes us from Wasserauen to the Ebenalp mountain station. From there, we take the path to the Sch\u00e4fler inn.  As soon as we arrive there, a fantastic panoramic view over the mountains opens up to us from the terrace. The clouds are also teasing us. Like little squiggles, the cotton balls spread across the sky. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aescher-Wildkirchli<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

So, now let’s have a closer look at the Aescher-Wildkirchli. The path to the inn winds along the mountain. Through a dark, damp cave, the path leads us on. Even a small chapel is carved into the stone. Wow! On we go. Another bend and we reach the Aescher-Wildkirchli. Cool, now we are standing in front of it. In reality, it is even more impressive than on the photos. I can’t imagine how the construction work was done back then. The building was built into the slope at a dizzying height. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Descent to Seealpsee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The trail continues in a zigzag and is super steep. I would not recommend this route without good footwear. The trail is described as challenging, which is true. Children are to be secured. There are special leashes available at the restaurant. We are super relieved when we finally arrive by the lake. Here we have earned a break. We skip the tour around the lake. Enough is enough. Fortunately, we have packed a picnic, so we can rest our feet in a cozy spot. Wonderful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the restaurant Sch\u00e4fler to Seealpsee we have calculated about 3.5 hours including photo stops. However, without the detour up to the Sch\u00e4fler, the mountain inn is accessible in 20 minutes from the upper statin of the cable car. The weather was fine. Since the trail is super steep in places, I recommend studying the weather before your planned trip. A slippery, wet surface is even more challenging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
