Due to the lockdown and working in the home office, many contacts are only virtual. Experiencing a journey together is important. Therefore our team has decided to organize day trips. While searching for pins & paths for the OllO World App, we discovered many beautiful places. The cities have been less visited by travelers during the summer holidays, so we focused us for the start on the following points for the selection of the paths.
- Cities that have fewer tourists due to the Corona crisis
- Visit restaurants, 1 x lunch per trip and coffee/cake/breaks as required
- Consider events (museums, gardens, galleries, theatre, shopping, architecture, brunch, wine tasting)
- Use public transport: Sustainability is important to us.
- Choice of themes for the excursions, target group: women who do not like to travel alone and who feel comfortable in a small group
We are aware that we alone cannot move mountains, but even small stones can get things moving.
Here you may book the preferred Pick & Click journey.
The Merian Gardens are calling. Coffee and summit are needed before the tour or a little later. We will have lunch in the bistro of the Art Museum Basel. For digestion we will visit an art exhibition before returning to Zurich. If the weather is bad, we will visit interesting industrial architecture along line 2 and we will skip the Merian Gardens.
Enea garden dreams
A must for garden lovers. In the tree museum there are over 50 old trees that have found a new home here. The garden is a real masterpiece. We continue on to Rapperswil, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. Back to Zurich we take the scheduled boat.
Day trip to Thun
A stroll through the old town. The tour continues high up to Thun Castle with a sightseeing tour. A short walk along the river Aare to Schadau Castle shows how beautiful the area is. Lunch is enjoyed in Schadau Castle, perhaps with a view of Lake Thun. A dream.
Jucker Farm, Tour of the Pfäffikersee
Breakfast under the trees. Especially in autumn the pumpkin exhibition at the Jucker farm is an eye-catcher. The tour continues around the lake, past the Roman fort to Pfäffikon. Lunch is enjoyed in Pfäffikon as well.
Chur, Art & Shopping
Why not combine art and shopping? A walk through the old town, a visit to the Chur Art Museum and a light lunch in the bistro. Strengthened, we continue on to Landquart.
Who has not yet downloaded OllO World App? Take a look at them. Many pins (sights) & paths (pins bundled) are already deposited. Maybe you will find an idea for the next weekend trip.
How about this round trip to Thurgau?
Best regards from your OllO World Team.
