Sherlock Holmes, Reichenbach Falls
Through the Rosenlaui glacier gorge, the glacier water flows through the walls of the Rosenlaui glacier. A footpath, which is secured, lets you experience the raging water up close. The creek flows into the valley to the Reichenbach Falls, which have gained worldwide importance through the Sherlock Holmes film. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle let Sherlock Holmes stage his death with a 120 meter fall into the depth.
A little further away, the Giessbach Falls can also be visited. The nostalgic restaurant Giessbach has a terrace with a view of the falls.
Bell Ursli, Guarda
A bell for Ursli, is a story illustrated by Alois Carigiet and written by Selina Chönz. The main character, Ursli, received only a small bell for the Chalanamarz. Therefore he is teased by the other village boys. With the smallest bell he has to run at the back of the procession and he doesn’t like this very much. He suddenly remembers the big cowbell hanging in the Maiensäss. Now he sets off on the dangerous path through the deep snow up to the hut. Please check out this post as well.
Heidi
The orphan girl Heidi is taken by her aunt Date to her grandfather on the alp, where she now lives. Heidi settles in well and soon gets along with the lonely man. She makes friends with the goat peter. The two spend a lot of time in the mountains. After Heidi has settled in very well, aunt Date comes and takes Heidi to Frankfurt, where she is to live with the Sesemann family. The family has a daughter who is paralyzed and can only move around in a wheelchair. The two become good friends. Heidi learns to write and Miss Rottenmeier teaches her manners.

But Heidi soon gets very homesick for her grandfather, the goat peter and the mountains. Heidi returns home. Next spring she comes to visit Klara. The goat guy is very suspicious of the child from the city and pushes her down the mountain in a wheelchair. Klara tries to get up now. With wobbly legs she escapes from her parents. They are overjoyed that Klara can walk again.
A part of the film was shot in Sufers, in the Rheinwald and in Latsch in the Albulatal. Beautiful places in the mountains of Grisons.
