Adventure Flumserberg

Winter hike in the mountains

Adventure Flumserberg. Hiking in the crunching snow, sledding in a race, or skiing and snowboarding down the slopes is a welcome change from the foggy cities. The small gondolas leading up to Tannenbodenalp are never crowded and there is no long queuing either, as everything is always in flow. Once at the top, one is greeted by a magnificent snowy landscape. Cold it is, icy cold, but with hiking high up, you already sweat a little.

Circuit Tannenbodenalp – Chrüz – Prodalp

From Tannenbodenalp a three-hour round hike can be tackled. It leads through snow-covered forests. Partly you cross the ski slope or the toboggan run. So there is plenty of variety. In this way, skiers and hikers can meet. This is ideal if part of the group does not want to ski. A meeting point can always be arranged for a coffee break.

Off into the snow

Going up on the first track, the sun can be seen on the horizon. Slowly it rises behind the mountains and trees. I like this atmosphere very much. Nevertheless, it is icy cold. Good footwear with an appropriate sole is an advantage, because it can be slippery. Gloves, scarf and cap can always be taken off, but everything is appreciated when the wind whistles around the ears. Despite the icy cold, I would not want to miss the winter hike. The climb is rewarded with a spectacular view of the Churfirsten.
